My Ideal Client

You're someone who has been holding it together for a LONG time. You do it all because you're a rockstar and it's the role you signed on for, but you know it could be better. You're good with life but a gnawing feeling has been growing inside questioning your vitality, joy and aliveness. At times you feel angry, frustrated and burned out. You'd rather feel peaceful, confident and comfortable in your body. You're open to alternative healing, ready for change and eager for some transformation.

How I Can Help You

Do you ever feel disconnected from yourself? My training in somatic psychology and mindfulness-based therapy will help spark your aliveness again. Wondering why someone as savvy as you feels stuck? I know a lot about how our parts gets in the way and will help you get to the root of the problem. Want to create healthier habits? That’s a great goal. I'm passionate about habit evolution and will give you concrete tools to create the changes you desire. I've dedicated my life to the work of transformation and walk my talk. I help people on their path to self-healing and offer a unique approach called Mindful Embodied Therapy. This style is inspired by Eastern philosophy, neurobiology, somatic therapy, and depth psychology. It is a powerful methodology that blends my experience as bodyworker with my expertise as a clinical therapist to help you live with greater joy, health, vitality and purpose.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

I have passion for well-being and Eastern philosophy and know each of us has the capacity to live our lives in a more meaningful way. This knowledge lies deep within and can never be taken away. The discomfort you’re feeling now just means the solution you once created needs updating. I want to help you deal and feel, but more importantly I want to help you pierce a giant hole in what’s driving the discontent and empower you to live with ease and grace. My approach is practical and down to earth. I pull from experience, training and intuition which allows for flow, fun, and flexibility. Yes, therapy can be fun! Joy is our birthright and more fundamental than happiness. Whether you seek to alleviate shame, increase self-esteem, address anxiety, lower depression or improve relationships the work is significantly enhanced through the blend of yoga and psychotherapy. And that's my jam: blending yoga and therapy. Drawing from the best of both, my style is deeply felt and transformative.

Techniques I Use

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

We are more than our thinking mind. The experience of being oneself must be felt. I have extensive training in a variety of body centered treatment including: Hakomi, Internal Family Systems, Coherence Therapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy. As former bodyworker and devoted yogi, I draw from my years of practice and training to blend restorative postures, breathing practices and relaxation techniques to create deep, lasting change.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

Mind, body and soul as inseparable, which means psychological health is intimately linked to physical and spiritual health. In order to see clearly, we must step back and see the wider perspective. MIndfulness helps us to slow down and see the Big Picture.

  • Depth Therapy External link

Depth psychology takes a whole-person approach to healing. Body, mind and soul are equal and active routes to healing and wholeness. It understands that we are meaning-seeking beings who suffer when our lives feel adrift. It also recognizes that the past is still active within us, creating patterns and diminishing our freedom of choice.

Issues I Treat

  • Personal Growth External link

We are perpetually healing, growing and learning, but sometimes the process gets stuck. How many times have you said to yourself, 'There's got to be more to life than this?' Or maybe you know what you want but have yet to make it real in your life. There is a reason change is hard. I look forward to sharing what I know and asking you the important questions that will stimulate change and growth.

  • Spirituality External link

All personal work is spiritual. There is no separating mind, body and soul. It's all related. Taking time to reflect on purpose, values and meaning is powerful and restorative 'medicine.'

  • Compassion Fatigue External link

You've taken care of others for a long time. It's time to focus on you.

  • Anxiety External link

How we handle and deal with anxiety directly impacts our quality of life. There is no separating mind from body. The pounding chest, pit in your stomach, and shortness of breath are terrifying 'signals' telling you something is wrong. Together we'll get curious about what's driving the anxiety and I'll teach skills that will help you create lasting peace in your life.

  • Self-Esteem External link

Self-esteem refers to how you feel about yourself. It reflects a person’s overall subjective emotional evaluation of their worth. Science has confirmed what we long suspected, mainly, that our thoughts follow our emotions. What we think matters. The problem is that in the absence of reliable data, people will make up stories about themselves. This is normal as we are literally wired for story. Unfortunately the normality of it doesn’t take away the suffering. Every time you judge yourself, you
