I love working with individuals who are ready and willing to change and are interested in creating solutions to move forward to a more engaging, meaningful and fulfilling life. The transformation and empowerment that can occur through our time together in therapy is my reason for doing this work.

My Approach

I am a therapist, a mother, a baker, a nature enthusiast, a lover of learning, and a dedicated student of life. I am becoming proficient in the art of starting over, which, as with any art worth pursuing, is a life-long endeavor. I believe that if you find yourself in the wrong story, you don't have to stay there. My life is a prime example. Life is change. Life is transition. My passion is supporting and enhancing the emotional well-being of individuals as they start over, make changes, and write new stories. My theoretical orientation draws inspiration and expertise from Psychodynamic Theory. Additionally, I am informed by Compassion Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Theory and Buddhist Psychology, blending with a focus on strengths and solutions. I love working with people through any of life's changes, and I specialize in helping women through life-transitions with a focus on pregnancy, motherhood, intimate relationships, sexuality and women's well-being.

My Background

I am a Professional Counselor Registered Intern (#R4755) with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors in private practice in the Tigard/SW Portland area. Additionally, I am the Assistant Clinical Director and Co-Founder of Solutions Therapy Pacific Northwest, a resource for comprehensive client care as well as community and support for emerging clinicians in the field. Prior to private practice, I successfully completed a clinical internship at Individual and Family Matters Counseling Clinic, where I provided therapy to a diverse client base. I have completed a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Southern Oregon University. I have additional training in Maternal Mental Health, Mindfulness and Relationships, Interpersonal Neurobiology and Attachment, Trauma Informed Care, Crisis Intervention and Grief and Loss. I am a current member of Postpartum Support International
