My Ideal Client

I specialize in working with clients who are wanting to find healthy coping skills around anxiety, depression, self-judgment, identity issues, and life cycle changes. My work with clients focuses on moving towards aligning the self with goals, beliefs, and values. This is something I believe leads towards a greater sense of connectedness, inner peace, and increased quality of life. If you are feeling disconnected from yourself and others, working together could be deeply impactful.

My Approach to Helping

I provide non-judgmental, trauma informed care to all of my clients. Working together would involve a safe, inclusive and affirming space for you to explore what has been hindering you in leading the life you hope to live. Depending on client goals, I focus on both present and past issues using a human-centered approach and evidence based interventions proven to help with an existential philosophy that we are in this together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I did a year internship in an interurban, low fee clinic in the heart of Portland, Oregon. This allowed for experience with a myriad of clients and therapeutic issues. I earned my Master of Science degree in Counselor Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from Portland State University. I am a registered licensed professional counselor intern in the state of Oregon. I am working toward licensure and am under the clinical supervision of Dr. Joel Lane, LPC.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Humanistic  External link

My work is built on the foundation of person-centered care where the work is compassionate, authentic, non-judgmental and collaborative.

  • Existential External link

Being human is hard and none are exempt from the human condition that inevitably delves into an exploration of our existence, meaning, and fulfillment. This is the main philosophy I utilize in assessment, treatment, and overall work in this space.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Personal Growth External link

Personal growth and increasing self-compassion, as well as self-understanding for my clients, is one of my main techniques to utilize in tandem with other interventions depending on presenting concerns.

  • Adjustment Disorder External link

Experience with clients in navigating big life cycle changes in my practice is common.

  • Anxiety External link

I specialize in grounding techniques and anxiety management.

  • Depression External link

I specialize in processing and specific interventions to decrease depression symptoms.
