My Approach

During the COVID-19 pandemic I am providing video teletherapy only. My approach to counseling is client-centered, collaborative, and feminist. The therapeutic approaches I incorporate are EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing (MI), with a focus on trauma processing, emotional regulation and distress tolerance, and developing healthy coping skills. I believe in providing counseling that is strengths-based, respectful and direct. I will meet you wherever you’re at in your journey while also inviting you to grow and change.

My Background

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Santa Clara University. I’m a registered LPC Intern (#R4625) with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I have completed EMDR Therapy Level I training and I am also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I). In addition to my private practice, I’m employed at Kaiser Permanente on the Addiction Medicine counseling team. During the pandemic I’m learning to navigate single-parenting, homeschool my kindergartner, and shift my counseling practice online. I continuously strive to develop healthy coping skills for today’s life stressors and particular pandemic challenges.
