My Ideal Client

I primarily work with youth—children (ages 8+), preteens, teens and young adults—who are LGBTQ-questioning and straight alike, struggling with life’s challenges and willing and ready for change. I excel at supporting clients as they navigate their path to self-understanding and ultimately to self-compassion and love.

My Approach to Helping

We are all wired to seek connection, love, meaning, belonging, and to be understood. Our internal messaging often tells us we are not good enough to receive these things because of the dominant culture we are in. In therapy, we can work together toward the belief that you are enough. Here, LGBTQ+ communities and our allies ages 8 to 108 will find a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore who you are, realize your full potential, and increase serenity and joy. My foundation as a therapist is attachment-based and client-centered, which means that I will meet you where you are at and support you through discovering where you want to go. This collaborative process begins with acceptance and curiosity, so you feel seen and empowered to advance your life and inspire new ways of identifying and addressing challenges.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I identify as a white, queer, cisgender woman. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I approach my work and the world around me with curiosity and humility. I participate in ongoing learning regarding issues related to privilege, white supremacy, and oppression. While I don’t believe that therapy can ever be a space free from the impacts of oppression, I seek frequent consultation regarding how these themes impact my work with a diverse network of supervisors, colleagues and a monthly antiracism/unlearning group.
