My Approach to Helping

Ultimately, you are the expert on you. My role is to provide a compassionate space and support your journey. I do this through an emotion focused lens, which means the backbone of my approach relies heavily on how we relate to our emotions, how we regulate them, and what we learn from them. I combine this with the compassionate and non-judgmental framework of internal family systems, also called parts work. Other major aspects of my therapeutic approach includes mindfulness, narrative therapy, attachment theory, and some somatic based approaches. Being a neurodivergent affirming therapist is an important part of my practice as well.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Since our identities greatly inform our lives, it's important I share some of mine with you. I am a white, agender, queer, fat, mostly able bodied human. A combination of lived experience and my identities lead me to this field where I get the honor to hear people's stories and help them on their journeys. Because of this, I spend much of my time incorporating anti-racist and disability justice tenets into my life, both personally and professionally. Additionally, I am sex, kink, body, and fat positive, neurodivergent affirming, and supportive of polyamorous/non-monogamous relationships.
