My Ideal Client

I serve people from all cultural backgrounds and treat both teens (ages 14-18) and adults; however, specialize in DBT and culturally-specific services that promote trauma-informed care for marginalized populations in need of support with identity development and skills development to help manage every day life challenges.

My Background and Approach

l earned my masters degree in community counseling in the winter of 2010 to help gather tools and increase insight on mental health issues to help individuals cultivate self-care, increase their self-efficacy, and sustain their overall mental well-being. I have 11+ years experience working with clients with various conditions including anxiety, depression, postpartum, life transitions, grief/loss, racial fatigue, and trauma. As a multicultural counselor, I recognize how finding a provider of color can be taxing; thus, if you are searching for a counselor committed to providing culturally competent and compassionate care, I can help! Evidence-based practices I most commonly use include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based, and Client-Centered Approach.
