My Ideal Client

I work best with women and LGBTQIA folks who are ready to partner to cultivate greater self-awareness that prioritizes self-compassion and healing. My goal in working with all of my clients is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for adults 17+ to process life changes and trauma. People who seek me out for therapy often have a history of experiencing trauma, grief and loss, attachment wounds, or chronic anxiety preventing them from living the life they desire.

My Approach to Helping

I have been working in the behavioral health field for over 25 years in non-profits, hospitals, schools, and community mental health organizations. I have a Master's degree in Social Work from Portland State University and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. My primary therapeutic orientation is trauma centered, attachment-based, and somatic-focused. I incorporate concepts from CBT, Internal Family Systems, and Polyvagal Theory into my therapeutic approach. I am also a strong believer in the healing power of breathwork, mindfulness, and being in nature. I work most effectively with individuals who are open to a less traditional therapy experience and appreciate a direct, relational communication style. I am passionate about bringing my real self, curiosity, kindness, and humor to my work with clients. I operate from an anti-racist, social justice focused and feminist lens. I also tend to cuss a lot, and F bombs are my favorite.

My Values as a Therapist

We are all on this journey together and it is my mission to remind you that you are not alone on this path of wholehearted living. I’m not only here for you as a therapist, but as a human who believes in the power of self-discovery and growth. No one is perfect. We have all been hurt or endured suffering of some kind and I believe in every human’s innate capacity to heal and thrive. I look forward to helping you feel understood, validated, and empowered to make positive changes in your life.
