My Ideal Client

My specialties include grief and loss work, helping those coping with serious health conditions, and supporting caregivers. My experience includes extensive training in the emotional challenges that come up around cancer. Issues I can help you navigate include but are not limited to: processing the loss of a loved one, adjustment to a new diagnosis, fear of cancer recurrence or progression, anxiety about medical procedures, contemplating existential concerns, and caregiver burnout.

My Approach to Helping

As a therapist I’m deeply invested in the growth, care, and healing of my clients. I utilize an eclectic approach with an emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and CBT to help clients process difficult emotions, learn to live alongside uncertainty, and find meaning amid life’s greatest challenges. I’ve also been a Buddhist practitioner for the past 7 years, and like to integrate meditation and Eastern philosophy into my approach when appropriate. I'm a Clinical Social Work Associate practicing under the supervision of Brooke Gateley Meier LCSW.
