My Ideal Client

Lyndsey specializes in treating trauma, LGBTQ+ , and neurodivergent clients, esp late diagnosed/discovered adults/older adolescents (14+), ADHD, Borderline Personality, identity formation, trauma identification and processing, life transitions, managing mild ARFID or body dysmorphia overlap, Exec. Dysfunc., depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+ Identity, chronic ill./ pain, ND & activism burnout, and processing climate/geopolitical worries, and navigating intersections of oppression and systemic concerns.

My Approach to Helping

Lyndsey utilizes a mixture of person-centered, existential, narrative, ACT, parts work, somatic, interpersonal neurobiology, trauma-based and informed, mindfulness based theories and interventions, and borrows from centuries of inherited wisdom from cultures/ancestors including indigenous insights. They believe that mental health is cannot be separated from a person's overall access needs and intersectional identities and contextual elements including oppressive systems dynamics, inadequate resources, white supremacy and hierarchy, toxic power dynamics, cultural values and transitions, health, and the cumulative effect of these things held in the body and/or psyches. I use a relational and contextual approach to therapy that tries to recognize power dynamics and take care of your trust in me within a system that often can perpetuate harm, and teach you how to access the authentic understanding and messaging we receive when we learn to re-connect w/ our bodies & natural surroundings.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a trans/non-binary, neurodivergent, disabled/chronically ill clinician who believes that everyone deserves to make meaning out of their lives and experiences. I treat the individual at an individual level while also working from a systems or Liberation Psychology framework of educating while changing systemic structures. I believe in mutual aid, that we are the only ones who can take care of us, and direct support for all through community derived and inclusive solutions/resourcing. I take from radical leftist, black radical traditions, feminist (read: ANTI TERF feminism), disability justice, neurodivergent affirming, climate justice perspectives and education and am continually looking to educate myself further through direct experience and reading/watching resources to educate myself. I have been involved w/ BLM, Palestinian Freedom, & Disability Justice education and advocacy, because none of us is free until we are all free. Still masking :) Come process the apocalypse with me
