My Ideal Client

My focus includes pregnant, postpartum, & parenting people who want to heal from child wounds, trauma, or address impediments to existing as fully as you desire. I coach parents who strive to connect with their little human(s) and their needs from an attachment-based perspective. I facilitate parent-involved therapy for children starting in toddlerhood. I am committed to the identification of and wholistic interventions for female and non-binary folx with ADHD.

How I Can Help You

My primary frameworks are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Neurobiology, & Attachment. I integrate a variety of tools that address our body's experience of anxiety, trauma, and attachment-related challenges. Understanding ancestral and intergenerational trauma are key to my approach and enable me to increase your understanding of the invisible forces impacting your past and current experiences. This includes examining the oppression (racism, misogyny, ableism, & fat phobia) that work against us feeling whole and contented. I strive to understand how our body stores and expresses our trauma experiences through our polyvagal system. In order to support my work, I am in the process of becoming EMDR trained. Above all else, I use our relationship as the foundation of our therapeutic work. Therapeutic frameworks, strategies, and interventions are only helpful in the context of a deep, authentically human, and connective relationship that allows you to feel seen.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a cis-gendered, whyte, womxn, mother, companion, social worker, learner, and collaborator. I want to learn how to decolonize therapy by stepping back as the expert in the relationship. I openly acknowledge the problematic beginnings of the field of social work. I want to support the transformation of the field from an extension of the oppressive systems marginalizing BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx to a profession rooted in the healing practices that existed before the professionalization of the mental health. I strive to use my privilege to dismantle white supremacy and misogyny, and the internalized side effects of these and other oppressive forces. I passionately believe that we all have the capacity to heal when we can tune into our intuition and individual strengths.
