My Approach to Helping

I approach therapy from a cognitive behavior lens, attachment theory, and mindfulness techniques. I also believe that counseling is a human experience, and what’s most important is meeting you wherever you are in your journey. A session with me may include supportive talk therapy, which also involves me gently pushing you to explore what might be holding you back from healing and personal freedom. I also believe that life has a funny way about it, and I bring humor and lightness to our experience together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I have been working in the field of counseling and social work since graduating with my Master’s in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004. Before starting my private practice, I worked in the field of adoption and surrogacy for over twelve years, providing counseling and assistance to adoptive, birth, and surrogacy families. In my private practice, I enjoy helping clients tap into their own inherent strengths to break through the hurdles that are holding you back. I’m here to help you come back to your center and tap into these strengths that are already within you.
