My Approach

In our work together we will maintain a comfortable, respectful atmosphere while exploring your concerns and tailoring an approach that fits your specific needs. In this manner I can provide any of the following specialized couples services: Premarital counseling; Relationship checkups; Couples coaching and therapy; Individual therapy for couples’ problems, e.g., when a partner won't participate; Couples therapy addressing individual problems, e.g., anxiety, depression or alcohol misuse; Divorce counseling and mediation; Parent coaching for couples; Sex Therapy. My Background

The following experiences help me provide specialized, meaningful and effective couples counseling: Doctoral degree in psychology with specialized training in couples therapy; Received training from renowned researchers in couples’ relationships; Counseled couples and individuals with relationship problems for over 25 years; Facilitated a five-year consultation group for couples therapists; Taught graduate level coursework in couples therapy and in conflict resolution; Published in the Journal of Marriage and Family Therapy; Recognized by two independent healthcare organizations for high therapy outcomes; Served as President of the Oregon Psychological Association.
