My Ideal Client

Sometimes in life, it appears that we’re doing well to the outside world, but on the inside, we’re lost and unanchored. When no one can see our internal struggles, it creates a paradoxical experience, knowing we should acknowledge the void but choose to ignore it. My goal is to support you in your journey to the fullest expression of who you are. Therapy can help with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, fatigue, sudden changes, and addiction recovery by offering clarity and awareness.

My Approach to Helping

I believe we are products of our system. Systems include social systems, medical systems, demographics, families, cultural backgrounds, and more. Every aspect of our life has meaning and affects us in some way. I take a holistic approach in my practice by looking at each person’s life as a whole, including their community, family, friends, and anything that affects their health and well-being. As an integrative therapist, I have a few theories I utilize, and I would be happy to discuss any of them with you: • Narrative Therapy • Attachment Therapy • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) • Internal Family Systems (IFS) • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) My style of therapy is very direct. While I will share hard truths with clients, I will also hold them through it, so they feel supported and safe in their processing. I believe that mental and physical health are intrinsically linked, so any medical conditions or medications will be considered when developing treatment plans.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have always felt I had a sixth sense of feeling others’ pain—being able to connect with people from many different perspectives. Humans are like a prism, they are multi-dimensional, and I look at each person’s story from many angles. I deeply believe in the power of the human spirit and it's ability to adapt and heal. I obtained my masters degree in Marriage, Family and Couples Therapy from Lewis and Clark College. I am supervised in the State of Oregon, by Lana Kim, PhD, LMFT and the State of Washington by Kimberly Riley, DSW, LMFT, MHP, CMHS. Supervision is required for all associates working toward licensure and is designed to ensure the highest quality of care. In my personal time, I enjoy running, practicing yoga and spending time with my blended family of six. I am a closet introvert, Sagittarius and I don’t like camping.
