Clinical Psychologist

We are all a little bit kinder, wiser, and more courageous than we think we are. We all come equipped with everything we need for a happy life. We just don't come equipped with a user's manual!

My Approach

My primary speciality is in helping people to heal and thrive following difficult life situations. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches combined with keen attention to the individual person in the room with me. I have received extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused approaches including Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

My Background

I have been practicing therapy since 2004 first as a Master's-level clinician, and then as a licensed psychologist. For the past thirteen years or so, I have been doing therapy and research focused on understanding and healing the effects of complex trauma such as shame, self-criticism, relationship issues, and dissociation. I've learned that the human mind is amazing. Our minds can help us to survive nearly anything, and then they can help us to recover and thrive. If you are a human with a mind, you are amazing.
