My Ideal Client

I specialize in working with those who tend to shut down or look for quick comfort when facing the stress and challenges of life. I help my clients understand themselves and learn new coping skills that help them feel healthier and more confident. Also, I have specialized training to work with the Veteran, active duty Military, LGBTQIA+, polymerous, and ethical non-monogamy persons.

My Approach to Helping

My approach is very pragmatic. I won’t just sit and listen. I understand the terrain of the mind and how to help it change. I am trained in several approaches that can create new insights about your feelings and behaviors. Together, we will develop new ways to react to life’s challenges. We’ll practice tools that can help you feel grounded.

Our Values as Mental Health Practitioners

I am a Veteran and I believe people can change behaviors and everyone can achieve happiness. Through counseling I believe personal growth and reconnection is possible and achievable. I am committed to truly connecting, supporting, and having a dialogue with others (even if it is based on educating or being educated about race, oppression, and de-colonization) while assisting in a shame and guilt feel space. The work is challenging but I really LOVE my work.
