My Background and Approach

I’m not your traditional therapist or clinical supervisor. Working with me feels like a genuine partnership, where we explore your story together at your pace. My approach is open, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I focus on understanding what’s underneath your experiences and helping you connect with your emotions in a way that feels safe and empowering. I bring a broader perspective to mental health — one that recognizes how family systems, culture, oppression, and our changing world all shape who we are and how we move through life. I use a strength-based approach and ecological perspective, and know the integral role of systems and intersectional identities. I am rooted and driven by my focus of racial justice, empowerment, and being in community. I am grounded in the understanding that social workers have a duty to lead anti-racist and social justice efforts, in evident ways, through our work.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My practice is grounded in a deep commitment to equity and social justice. I strive to create a therapeutic space that acknowledges the impact of systemic inequities while supporting clients in healing from internalized oppression and generational trauma. I recognize that mental health does not exist in isolation—it is shaped by our environments, communities, and access to opportunity. My commitment to anti-racism is ongoing and intentional. I am continually examining my own power and privilege, challenging systems that perpetuate harm, and advocating for policies and resources that promote equity and inclusion. In my work, I aim to empower clients to reclaim their narratives, build resilience, and foster a sense of wholeness and agency within themselves and their communities.
