My Ideal Client

I currently work with young adults, people in college or graduate school, and adults. Some people I work with identify as more emotional than people around them, emotionally "sensitive", feeling different in some way, or struggle with avoidance. Or you might be looking for someone to run thoughts by to get some validation or advice, or have a diagnosis affecting daily functioning and relationships. Whatever your reason for seeing therapy, it makes sense to get a little extra support!

My Approach to Helping

My training is in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) which uses acceptance and change strategies, with a focus on mindfulness and life skills. I also draw on Attachment Theory which focuses on the ways personal growth, learning, and healing can occur via our connection with others. Kindness, respect, willingness to try, and radical genuineness are also things I will bring to our work together. I'm happy to help those seeking a better understanding of themselves or their relationships by supporting you with building insight, offering validation, and teaching ways to soothe the nervous system with therapy skills.
