Suffering often means we struggle in our relationships with others, food, money or ourselves. We call this anxiety, depression, trauma and many other things. But no matter what language you use to describe these struggles, relational healing is possible. The core struggles I have found myself holding with my clients are eating disorders and PTSD. If any of these relationships feel broken in your own life, I'd love to guide you toward more authentic connection.
Specialties
Nadine was trained in Feminist Theory primarily during their education. This therapy focuses on processing a whole view of self and suffering. You can expect to be guided through assessing your internal work, your external world, the systems and environments affecting you, and how all of these parts build stories that drive our lives.
Specialties
Nadine has worked with adults with eating disorders for the last six years. They use a large variety of tools to guide anyone struggling with food and body toward a more authentic relationship with self that promotes healing. Nadine uses a Health At Every Size paradigm to address the systemic issues of weight loss and diet culture. The harmful weight bias of our word might be harming your relationship with yourself and everyone deserves a deeper connection to your truest self.
For many years, Nadine has walked along side people with many types of trauma and in a wide variety of stages of the healing process. They understand that addressing trauma looks different for everyone, and therefore offer varied intensity of work from gentle cognitive work to deeper processing such as somatic work and IFS.
