My Ideal Client

I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and varying ages who are in need of greater support, empathy and understanding in all facets of their lives. I bring a unique perspective when it comes to understanding self acceptance, productivity and rest. My areas of focus include: teen therapy, life transitions, disordered eating behaviors, body dissatisfaction, self-esteem, self-compassion, systemic oppression, impacts from Covid-19, anxiety & depression.

My Approach to Helping

I hold the belief that in order to strengthen our relationships with others, we must first strengthen our relationship with ourselves. By exploring your life story up until this point as well as examining the messages you tell yourself about yourself we can begin the work of collectively re-rewriting your personal narratives. My aim as a mental health counselor is to hold space for you to explore your stories and grow from what you learn during this exploration. I hope to help you obtain your goals by gaining greater insight into your negative self-talk as well as a deeper understanding of its beginnings.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

I obtained my Master of Science degree from Portland State University, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Nationally Board Certified Counselor and a Registered Licensed Professional Counselor Intern with the State of Oregon. My supervisor is Gianna Russo-Mitma, LMFT. In addition to working with clients recovering from disordered eating behaviors and body image concerns, I also serve clients experiencing depression and anxiety symptoms, low self-esteem, family issues (such as divorce & addiction), adjustment issues, impacts from COVID-19 and trauma (such as intimate partner violence & sexual assault). I currently offer individual therapy for teens and adults. I am Neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+ & BIPOC affirming and knowledgeable.
