My Approach

I work with whole people, in the context of the world we actually live in. You are a unique individual, not just a diagnosis. My approach is different. Let's work together to help you reclaim your flow and get back in touch with yourself. I have extensive training and personal practice in Expressive Arts therapy, a process I hold close to my heart, as it has transformed my own life. Expressive Arts are Multi and Inter-Modal. Some formats we may explore include Sandtray work, mixed-media, mindfulness practice, dreamwork, creative writing, movement, and playful and imaginative expression.

My Background

I have a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy from Goddard College. I work from a Humanistic lens and I believe good therapy is collaborative and non-authoritative. I have over a decade of experience working in community mental health and I have learned a lot about the system and its many flaws. I try to be an alternative to that. Outside my work, I have a great passion for music and all things creative. It is not unusual to find me at a concert or browsing through the vinyl, compact disc, and tape selection at an independent record store. I grew up in West Virginia, and I have lived and worked in mental health across the US. If you are ready to explore the story of your soul and work toward infusing positive changes in your life, I hope you will consider reaching out!
