My Approach to Helping

I primarily turn to cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, attachment theory, and family systems. I offer a strengths based perspective on my client’s healing by identifying and strengthening the tools they already have. I believe psychological and relational distress come from a combination of past experiences and ongoing interactions with one’s environment. My approach is trauma informed, collaborative, and non-hierarchical. I offer guidance to help you find your own path to healing and improved connection with loved ones.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Registered Licensed Professional Counselor intern and National Certified Counselor. I earned my Bachelor in Science in Psychology in 2013 and my Master in Science in Marital, Couples, and Family Counseling in 2016, both from Portland State University. My experience includes working in community mental health, residential treatment facilities, and The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. My specialties are relationship counseling and gender transitions.
