My Ideal Client

If you experience anxiety, grief, transitions or trauma and you value working with a therapist who co-explores origins of current difficulties and help you move towards durable outcomes without pathologizing your experience, you are welcome to reach out. I use a whole person and culturally responsive approach to help adults who work, study and / or live in highly demanding or stressful environments access more aliveness, presence and connection to what/who they care about.

My Approach to Helping

Using a well rounded approach to psychological wellbeing, I co-craft with each client every counseling session as a "1 hour retreat" from daily stressful cycles. I hope that when strengths and inner resources are more intentionally accessed; and when patterns of relating to self and others as well as identity related aspects are compassionately and honestly confronted, sustainable therapeutic outcomes can be facilitated. I see humans as parts of larger structures and systems that constantly impact their health. If you work with me, you can expect to be regularly invited to offer feedback on your experience so we can co-facilitate a steady movement towards your goals. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Grief Informed Professional.

More About the People I Treat

I enjoy helping people access and experience, not just talk about the integrated physical, mental and emotional states that can foster clarity, optimize health and increase presence for what they care about. Prior to becoming a therapist my work as a master certified health coach focused on health coaching and educating individuals and families on sustainable nutrition, movement, lifestyle and mindset habits for optimal health. I have been a certified teacher of mindfulness based somatic practice that integrates mindful movement, breath and meditation since 2010, which influences my trauma informed mindfulness and somatic approaches to therapy. Depending on individual needs, clients can customize with me wellness tools that match their lifestyle so they can sustain their gains after therapy or counseling experiences with me come to an end. My work as a therapist is aligned with my hope to increase access to culturally responsive care that doesn't pathologize humans' experiences.
