Paige Cameron LPC Intern

Licensed Professional Counselor Intern

The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of our work together. Your role is that of the teacher. Mine is that of the encourager, to offer tools when things feel overwhelming, and to hold onto hope. Together, we will process, laugh a little, maybe cry a little, and create change in your life.

My Approach

I strive to create a warm, safe, and accepting environment where you can come as you are. I find that sometimes the best medicine is a bit of laughter and understanding that we are all humans in progress. I believe the client is the expert and already has everything they need to heal inside themselves. Sometimes, we all need a little help to get unstuck, to see things from a new perspective, and to take a breath and realize how far we have come. In our work together, we will use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, focus on your strengths, and practice mindfulness techniques to create change and bring healing.

My Background

Therapy is deep, life changing work, and it is a privilege to be able to walk with someone on their journey towards healing. My passion is working with those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and survivors of sexual assault. My primary focus is individuals ages 12 and older. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Registered Intern in the state of Oregon, have many years volunteering with Portland Public Schools in the classroom and in after school programs, and am currently volunteering my time counseling with Good Samaritan Ministries. As a LPC Registered Intern, I am under the Supervision of Pat Thompson LPC. I am happy to further explain this. I strongly believe that counseling should be financially accessible to all, please feel free to ask about my sliding scale option. Please reach out to see if we would be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
