My Approach to Helping

My practice utilizes the integrative modalities of EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, self compassion and solution oriented psychotherapy with a strong focus on collaboration with clients. I trained with a focus on the client centered biopsychosocial model which I utilize in my ongoing assessment and work with clients. I have experience working with a variety of individuals and populations over the course of my career including adolescents and adults with emotional trauma, challenges with depression and anxiety and eating disorders. My practice has a focus on early adulthood individuation and maturation, shame attenuation, self compassion and interventions that are healing as well as solution and insight oriented.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I studied clinical social work at New York University, earning my Master’s degree in 2010 after working in the mental health field. After living in Brooklyn for a number of years I eventually transitioned back to the West Coast. Having completed my undergraduate degree at University of Oregon, and marrying an Oregon native, I have spent much of my adult life here after originally transplanting from the San Francisco Bay Area. My husband and I, along with our dog and young son, enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling, adventuring with friends, settling into our quarantine routine at home and getting to know our little one.
