My Ideal Client

I work with children and teens navigating challenges like anxiety, ADHD, depression, school stress, friendships, and big emotions, changes, grief, trauma, or self-harm. Therapy with me is a safe, supportive space where young people can be heard, understand their feelings, and build coping skills. Sessions can include conversation, problem-solving, creativity, or humor to make growth approachable, and I often collaborate with parents and caregivers to support kids both in therapy and at home.

My Background and Approach

I come from a school counseling background, so I have a strong understanding of the challenges kids and teens face in school and everyday life. My approach is eclectic;I like to experiment and play around with different interventions to find what truly fits each client’s needs. I love using play therapy, art therapy, and a variety of creative tools to make sessions engaging and meaningful, and I always have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to help kids express themselves and learn new skills. At the same time, sometimes we just need to sit and talk, and I pride myself on being a patient, attentive listener who creates a safe, supportive space for sharing feelings. Ultimately, my goal is to meet each child or teen where they are, making therapy both approachable and effective while tailoring it to their personality, interests, and goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy isn’t about “fixing” a problem; it’s about learning to accept yourself, understand your experiences, and build a life that feels authentic and meaningful. I believe everyone has the ability to become their best self, and sometimes all it takes is having someone who truly listens and understands. I create a space where clients are welcomed exactly as they are, without judgment, and where their experiences, identity, and voice are honored. Justice and equity are core values for me, both in therapy and in life. Outside of work, I love baking, going on nature walks, reading a good mystery novel, and enjoying moments with family.

Sometimes words aren’t enough, so we use toys, games, role-play, and playful activities to explore feelings, practice coping skills, and make therapy fun and engaging.

Drawing, painting, or creating can help you express thoughts and emotions that are hard to put into words—plus, it’s a fun way to explore yourself and your world.

Using miniatures and sand, we can create stories, work through challenges, and discover solutions in a hands-on, imaginative way that makes feelings easier to see and understand.

  • Humanistic  External link

I focus on understanding you as a whole person, respecting your experiences, and supporting your growth in a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself.
