My Ideal Client

I specialize in working with grief, stress, life transitions, and chronic illness. These experiences can shake our sense of self and the world around us, and often feel isolating and overwhelming. I am passionate about supporting people as they hold big feelings and big questions and I provide clients with a compassionate and non-judgmental space to integrate their experience and find an intentional path forward.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to psychotherapy is integrative and trauma-informed, grounded in an understanding of the emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical dimensions of well-being. I draw from a number of different modalities, depending on the needs of the client; my orientation is primarily relational and psychodynamic and I also incorporate techniques from mindfulness-based and somatic approaches. In our work together, my goal is to help you develop greater insight and self-compassion, cultivate emotional awareness and flexibility, and live in alignment with your deepest values. I balance insight-oriented work with practical tools for present-moment stress reduction and mindfulness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe each person carries their own unique wisdom and has their own path. As a therapist, my role is not to direct or “fix” you, but to walk alongside you — helping you listen more deeply to your own voice, values, and instincts. I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community and bring that lived experience into my work with openness. I am also committed to racial justice, culturally responsive care, and trauma-informed practice. My hope is to create a space that welcomes all of who you are. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an interfaith chaplain, accompanying patients, families, and staff through illness, injuries, death, and other profound life changes. This experience continues to shape my practice and my respect for the many ways people make meaning. When it enters the therapy room, my approach to spirituality is always open and non-prescriptive. I also have experience with psychedelic integration and processing insights from non-ordinary states of consciousness.
