You work hard to please people around you, but you are burned out. You're a high achiever and great at helping others. But caring for yourself is overwhelming, because you don't know what you need or want. You may experience high anxiety and feel guilty or bad almost reflexively. You know you shouldn't be so hard on yourself, but find it difficult to practice self-compassion. You know that you are tired of sacrificing yourself and being your own worst critic. It's time for a change.

Treating complex interpersonal trauma is my clinical interest. After experimenting with different modalities, I completed training on Mentalization-Based Narrative Exposure Therapy (MBNET) to help support my clients more in their complex trauma work. MBNET is a supportive, structured, direct approach to addressing the impacts of complex interpersonal trauma in your life.
A core principle of DBT is using dialectics - both/and - to help cope with our emotions. DBT provides patients with an extensive set of coping skills that you can use every day.
Specialties
Trauma robs you of you present-day happiness and keeps you repeating old behaviors, makes it difficult to rest, and often leads you to be unnecessarily hard on yourself. Experiences that cause trauma vary widely and include everything from car accidents or the sudden death of a loved one, to childhood emotional neglect or growing up in a dysfunctional family. I’ve completed specific training in treating complex interpersonal trauma, and I use a wide range of interventions to help you heal.
You are the person holding it all together for everyone else - but somehow everything is also your fault. Navigating systems of power, sexism and good girl conditioning is endless as a woman. I'm experienced in helping women break free from these limiting self-beliefs. I also support women navigating various life stages, including fertility concerns, pregnancy and the postpartum, and peri-menopause concerns.
You work hard to keep everyone around you happy. You find it scary to tell people how you feel, and may not even know what you really want. Conflict is terrifying. You often feel guilt, or just flat out "bad" about lots of things. Let me help you learn how to prioritize yourself with less fear and increase kindness for yourself.
You often worry about the future, or spend time replaying the past. Anxiety can show up in many ways - from difficulty sleeping, frequent worrying, irritability and often feeling guilty. It is exhausting to feel a lot of anxiety - I can help you find more balance.
