My Ideal Client

In my practice, I strive to help you get to a place of peace, balance of mind, and stability, through providing direction to help you live a satisfying and meaningful life on your own terms. My approach to therapy is collaborative, inclusive, empowerment-focused, and nonjudgemental. I am especially passionate about working with individuals who struggle with eating disorders and body image concerns.

My Approach to Helping

I work from trauma-informed, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic models . I enjoy challenging systems of oppression, understanding this interplay between micro and macro systems that can keep us feeling deeply known and understood. I am guided by attachment theory, neurobiology, social justice theory, and have experience facilitating individual and group dialectical behavioral therapy to assist folks gain skills to manage and understand their distress.I draw from a variety of therapeutic perspectives, though I most often incorporate "Health at Every Size", mindfulness, and liberation psychology into treatment. My practice includes working with clients who experience PTSD, anxiety, chronic stress, depression, major life changes, and relationship conflict. Modalities I draw from include: DBT, humanistic theory, IFS, somatic therapy, and EMDR, which I tailor to meet your unique needs and goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we are not meant to heal on our own. I take a community oriented approach to healing and therapy. We all bring our unique identities, beliefs, and backgrounds to the table, and I am here to help you sift through it all, making meaning and a coherent narrative out of life's complexities. My interests and educational pursuits in social justice, mindfulness, health at every size, anti-carceral, anti-racist, and collectivist care, drive my passion for this work.
