My Ideal Client

Most of my patients are working on transitions from one stage of life to another. In this view, we focus on aspects of your experience which seem to be obstacles to your growth. We also tend to make space for anger, grief-processing, and resolution as we undertake the work of resolving past trauma, including experiences of parental mis-attunement. Patients who succeed with me tend to seek new, challenging experiences and a desire to embrace the challenges within and ahead.

My Background and Approach

I focus on developing a collaborative working relationship with the intention of leveraging the therapeutic encounter toward your goals. I do this while working from a variety of perspectives. I work eclectically, or from a variety of perspectives: somatic and psychodynamic ones in particular. Patients report finding our work to foster engaging in a kind of reflective style they do not often (or have ever) experience(d), and by these means experiencing themselves in new ways, transcending the habitual and transforming the old.

    Human development rests on ways in which we see and are seen. By focusing on providing a relational, I maintain an eye to our collaboration and to maintaining a grounded-ness in our work. For it is in relation to others that we can most deeply and profoundly come to witness and express our self-hood most authentically.
