My Ideal Client

My practice is based on providing a trusting and non-judgmental safe space for us to work towards your personal goals. I believe therapy is a meaningful, collaborative, and intentional process. I work from a trauma-informed, social justice, and culturally competent framework.

What I Specialize In

I use an integrated therapeutic models such as client-centered and humanistic approaches to care. I use a variety of techniques such as ACT and mindfulness-based CBT when appropriate. I am an active and engaged therapist, meaning I will not only be providing a compassionate active listening space, but may also engage in counsel, coach in skill development, or teach new ways to feel better and reduce symptoms. I may also provide relevant resources and advise on next steps on how to work through challenging or difficult issues and feelings as they arise. -ADHD assessment and treatment for adults -Relationship counseling -Child and Family counseling -Gender Affirming assessment and care -Career counseling and coaching -Loss and Grief -Trauma Informed care for Acute and Post Traumatic Stress -Health at Every Size or Body-Positive-Informed care

My Approach to Helping

WALK & TALK THERAPY OPTION I am a nature enthusiast and deeply enjoy being in the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. I believe in body movement as therapy and am excited to offer a walk and talk therapy option for clients who also also enjoy being outdoors while talking. There are many beautiful parks in North/Northeast Portland where we can meet and slowly walk as we engage in therapy. I find this option is especially helpful for clients who also enjoy gentle movement and the outdoors or who want something different than video/phone calls. The parks I access are ADA accessible and can accommodate people with various mobile abilities. If you are interested in this option for therapy, please let me know and we can discuss further.
