My Ideal Client

I see my ideal client as someone who is willing to be curious about their experience and take time to wonder about complexity. I serve individuals of all identities dealing with addiction. I offer Trans/ nonbinary, Queer, and BIPOC identified individuals a space that is responsive to their experiences of marginalization. I work well with veterans and white identified clients who are curious to unpack their experiences, traumas, and anxieties.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy is to meet you where you are in a genuine and authentic way. The space I offer can help you sort through what you want out of your life and offer support, curiosity, and helpful tools. I have extensive training in behavioral addictions such as shopping, internet use, gambling and gaming. I meet clients with compassion and want to normalize the experience of addiction by helping individuals understand what's going on for them. I work from a somatic trauma informed perspective which assists in taking inventory of a problem while making sure clients are feeling secure and in control of sessions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the healing power of connection to nature and our non human kin. I like to spend time gardening and hiking with my rescue dog. My love of art and nature inform my work as a therapist. In the past I have worked as an herbalist and a printmaker, having completed a BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design and a 450 hour certificate in desert plant medicine.
