I believe in mindfulness based practices. It's part of my daily routine. Its empirically proven results include decreased symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. It have been shown to improve mood, functionality, quality of life, and reductions in fear of negative evaluation and increased self-esteem and overall satisfaction with life.
EFT emphasizes creating and strengthening emotional bonds between family members or partners. I have successfully helped individuals identify adaptive and maladaptive relational patterns and develop more open, attuned, responsive, and loving relationships. I like this approach because it helps in addressing the underlying relational disturbance between people suffering from dysregulation.
I have strong experiential training in DBT skills for the past 3 years, in a hospital setting. I have successfully worked with individual clients, families and done group therapy with DBT approach. I believe that DBT renders skills to people to manage their emotions, increase interpersonal effectiveness and tolerate distress more effectively.
In todays new reality, there is so much uncertainty and tremendous anxiety. I have immediate openings, anyone needing help please reach out. I am here to help. I am available for teletherapy and phone therapy.
I strongly believe that addiction is self medication for coping up with difficult issues that people struggle with, such as finding meaning of life, sustainability, chronic pain, relationships issues, failures, life roles etc. My work with people dealing with addiction includes having compassionate understanding, focusing on DBT skills, having a sound relapse prevention plan and mindfulness.
I am trained in Emotion Focused Therapy for couples and have completed the Gottman Level 1 couples training. I strongly believe that issues related to identity and attachment play a big role in our past/current relationships. I help my clients work though these issues for healthy and enduring relationships.
Anxiety can become very overwhelming at times in our lives. There can be a number of reasons like fear of unknown, frustration, feeling 'stuck', anger, etc that may be the reason for anxiety. I focus on various skills to help reduce the intensity of these symptoms and hope to help you restore peace in your lives.
Depression tends to effect us in many different ways. Sometimes it looks like irritability, or sadness, being more emotional than usual, thoughts of hurting ourselves, and/or not feeling motivated to achieve our goals. I focus on thought distortions, living in the moment and schema therapy to help my clients manage these symptoms.
