My Approach to Helping

In my approach to helping, I create a safe, culturally sensitive space where clients lead their mental health journey. Clients actively participate, and we build a roadmap to navigate challenges together. My stance encourages open exploration of thoughts and feelings. I'm dedicated to empowering clients to address unique mental health challenges. I specialize in helping clients transform challenges into strengths. For athletes, I address the psychological aspects of injury recovery and performance anxiety using evidence-based approaches. For non-athletes, I offer trauma-informed care and practical strategies for anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation. My approach is direct and collaborative. Collaboration is at the core of my therapeutic philosophy. I see my clients as active participants in their healing process.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My personal beliefs in therapy are grounded in the core values of empathy, collaboration, and respect for each individual's unique journey. I firmly believe that every person holds the key to their own well-being and is the expert of their own life. My role as a mental health professional is to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without fear of judgment. Cultural sensitivity is a cornerstone of my practice. As an immigrant myself, I recognize the profound influence of cultural backgrounds on mental health. This awareness informs my integrative approach, where therapy is tailored to meet each client's specific needs and preferences. I see diversity as an asset and celebrate its richness in the therapeutic process.
