My Approach to Helping

We are committed to trauma-informed, pleasure-centered, intersectional clinical work. We are here to support both individual healing and the building of intentional, well-suited, meaningful relationships of all kinds. At this time, our most of our providers listed below are licensed in the following states: Oregon, Idaho, and California.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Led by two AASECT certified sex therapists, our team include a diverse set of skills, licenses and certifications, uniquely suited to meet the needs of the communities we belong to, and serve. We believe lived experience is paramount to clinical training, but also remain up to date and highly skilled in the most recent best practices specifically for diverse identities. We seek to hire, collaborate with, and specifically support marginalized sex and gender communities in all that we do.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Couples Counseling External link

We use Gottman, Emotionally focused therapy, and systems approaches to support you and your partner(s) in finding common ground, connection and balance of power and pleasure in your relationship.

  • Eclectic External link

As a social worker, I was trained to assess the whole person, environment, and history, to understand what is happening and how to move forward. This requires an eclectic approach, using all the tools in my toolbox. Those tools include CBT, DBT, EMDR, somatic experiencing, Trauma focusing interventions, EFT, gottman, systems, narrative and mindfulness based interventions.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • LGBTQ Issues External link

I'm a member of your community, experienced in treating the unique relationship, sexuality, and interpersonal challenges that come from a minorty sexual orientation or expression. I want to empower and support you, and facilitate a more fulfilling personal journey long term. I can also treat gender dysphoria including writing letters of recommendation and supporting transitions.

  • Gender Identity External link

Gender expansive work, honoring all identities including trans folks, non-binary, gender non-conforming.

  • Sexual Problems External link

I can treat the most common challenges including the desire gap (differences in libido) and the orgasm gap (differences in achieving climax). In addition, I'm a resource for those living an alternative lifestyle or sexual expression (ie: fetish, BDSM, other lifestyle), or struggling with ED, PE, genital pain, gender dysphoria, or concerns about sexual behavior or porn use.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

I'm in your corner, whatever the hurdle. Relationships are tough, so is the process of finding a person who understands. I have extensive experience with non-traditional relationships including BDSM/ kink couples, non-monogamous, or other lifestyles. I take a collaborative, strengths focused approach using Gottman, EFT and systems approaches to reconnection.

  • PTSD External link

Trained extensively in trauma treatment, I am skilled in understanding the symptoms, the presentation of complex trauma and attachment wounds, and ways to integrate healing into your daily life. I take a somatic and narrative approach to healing including the most recent research related to activation, dissociation, and brain regulation.
