Christine Glenn

Clinical Psychologist

I welcome adult clients from older adolescents through elders. I create a safe and respectful place for private conversations, for reflection and for clarity. Current dilemmas and old patterns can be seen from new perspectives. New decisions can be made.

My Approach

Frequent concerns include anxiety, depression, recent or childhood trauma, personal loss (divorce, the death of some one close), mid-life changes, learning difficulties (ADHD, dyslexia). I work from a Jungian orientation. Just as the conscious mind includes conscious beliefs and experiences and can focus on a direction or path, so the unconscious mind includes beliefs and experiences and can be directed toward other goals. Dream work can be helpful at these times as well as reflection and conscious problem solving. I also recognize that the mind and body are one and that some experiences can reflect a physical imbalance showing up as psychological symptoms. For examples conditions such as anxiety or ADHD can reflect primarily physical issues, or psychological issues, or a combination. The identification of the root causes is important for understanding and resolution.

My Background

I have been in practice for over thirty years. Before becoming a clinical psychologist, I worked in neuropsychology and research. From those years, I retain an interest in learning differences and in pragmatic problem solving. I believe that all of us need to talk to someone at times who is not a friend or family member. Please email me or call me if you have any questions. All the best.
