My Approach

I work with couples, children, and adult individuals and treat each therapeutic experience as unique while using various approaches supported by research. I will partner with you as you develop new skills and perspectives that will help you tackle stuck patterns, strengthen your relationship, and work towards creating the changes you would like to see in your life. In my work with couples I use Emotionally-Focused Therapy, which focuses on connection and building a strong foundation between partners. I use more expressive approaches when appropriate, including Sandtray Therapy with adults and adolescents, and Play Therapy with children in which the child’s play is the language and toys are used as their words. I also incorporate Child-Parent Relationship Training to strengthen the bond between parents and their children.

My Background

I am currently a graduate student intern finishing my master's degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling at George Fox University. My main coursework includes Human Growth and Development, Psychopathology, Play Therapy, and Family & Couples Therapy. I also hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Oregon State University.
