My Approach

I work from systemic, relational, and psychodynamic frameworks. I identify as a Woman of Color who values sociopolitical context and social justice. As such, the foundation of my practice honors equity, intersectionality, and empowerment. I value humor and realness in therapy; I validate and challenge when appropriate with compassion and care.

My Background

I hold an Ed.M. and M.A. from Teachers College Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My internship was at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, and my residency was at Reed College. My specialties include working with folks from marginalized communities, identity, adoption, and undergraduate and graduate students. I work with an array of presenting concerns including oppression-related stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, life transitions, attachment, identity concerns, and family and relationship issues. Finding a strong fit with a therapist is crucial. If you feel we might work well together, I invite you to visit my website or contact me. I offer free 30 minute consultations. I am currently taking appointments on Thursdays. Mondays possibly available upon request as well.
