I genuinely care for the well-being of others, and I have the ability to fully support each person I counsel. In addition to traditional therapy, I offer wilderness immersion counseling and outdoor therapy services throughout all of Oregon.

I hold great regard and empathy for each person I counsel. I view you as the expert of your own experiences, and so I take a collaborative approach to counseling. I have extensive experience helping others and a strong sense of confidence as a therapist. Together, we identify needed changes and then create a treatment plan designed to help you meet your goals. I utilize evidence-based treatments such as mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy in addition to personal creativity, wilderness experiences and even humor. I will value your feedback and accept you without judgement. I will also challenge you to move beyond your comfort zone as you engage in the change process. You can expect to receive practical techniques that you can apply right away and a gentle presence that you can count on as you begin to make desired changes.
I hold a Master's Degree from Lewis & Clark College with an emphasis on adult community counseling, and I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor through the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I am a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors. I've maintained a private practice in Multnomah Village since 2009 and more recently have expanded it to offer more intensive wilderness immersion services. In 2007-08, I completed my internship at the PTSD and mood disorder clinics at the Portland VA. I continue to serve veterans in my practice. Prior, my training included counseling college students at PCC. I also teach life skills to adults with disabilities throughout the community. Before grad school, I worked with adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral issues in a residential facility.
