My Approach

Together we can identify blocks to a meaningful life such as anxiety, depression and shame and develop insight and skills to move beyond those blocks. We will explore the importance of the mind-body connection and develop greater emotional awareness in order to make decisions from a place of self-understanding and trust. I can assist you in understanding your individual needs in order to more effectively meet those needs and communicate them to others. I'm happy to offer suggestions for continuing personal growth outside of session including assignments and recommended readings. I am LGBTQ affirming and welcome clients of all ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds.

My Background

I am originally from Ohio and have been living in the Pacific Northwest for about 16 years. I have a passion for dance, hiking, the outdoors, photography and cooking. I enjoyed studying social psychology in school which led to a Sociology major in college. I value therapy and personal growth in my own life which eventually led to the choice to study Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Oregon. My areas of specialty include anxiety, stress, shame, perfectionism, self-esteem, communication and boundary work, life transitions, relationship therapy, and therapy for singles navigating the dating world.
