Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy

Prolonged Exposure (PE) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and reduce distress related to trauma. Commonly used to treat PTSD, PE focuses on gradually confronting traumatic memories, emotions, and situations that have been avoided due to fear or distress. Through structured sessions, clients work with a therapist to safely engage with these experiences, helping to decrease their emotional intensity over time. By confronting rather than avoiding trauma-related triggers, individuals can regain a sense of control and reduce the ongoing impact of past trauma on their daily lives.

Prolonged Exposure is an evidence-based therapy for PTSD in which I have specialized training. It supports you in gradually processing painful memories in a safe environment, and re-engaging with activities or situations you may have been avoiding since your trauma. Over time, this can dramatically improve your quality of life. As with all my work, I adapt this approach to meet you where you are in your healing journey.
