I have certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and work from a solution focused perspective. In addition, I make great efforts to ensure clients are comfortable and that I take an empathetic approach by always offer a listening ear. My experience includes working with individuals (adults/teens), families, couples, and teens (12-18yr). I have experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma related concerns, PTSD, family issues, relationship issues, immigrant related stressors, grief, addiction, parenting, self-esteem, life transitions and general emotional disturbance. I also offer services in Spanish.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Things can sometimes feel dark and heavy. It is imperative that we all find the support that we so desperately need. Let me be that source of support in your troubling time. I have been supporting others on their personal journeys for 18 years by way of a dynamic clinical social work perspective. I believe we all have the capacity to grow and change especially with the help of a supportive professional. I enjoy connecting with my clients and being someone that they can count on. I have lots of experience in the world of social work and community resources and utilize my own experiences as a mother, partner, friend and human being to relate to my clients and their journeys. You will find me to be laid back but also forthright and honest in my approach. Our work together will be an ongoing conversation and collaboration. Thanks for stopping by! I am excited to meet you and get started!
