My Ideal Client

I work with families and young people (ages 0-22) who feel caught in repetitive cycles—whether it’s a child facing tantrums, sleep, eating, or toileting challenges, or a teen/young adult struggling with anxiety, sadness, or relational conflicts. If you’re a caregiver or youth navigating trauma, neurodiversity, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s hurdles, my practice offers a supportive space to spark lasting change.

My Approach to Helping

I use evidence-based strategies to truly understand your unique challenges and strengths. Together, we set clear, actionable goals and develop a practical toolkit tailored to your needs. For young children, I work directly with parents to reshape daily interactions and foster positive behavior, while with older youth, I balance individual sessions with family time. We start with small, manageable steps—practicing new skills between sessions—to build momentum toward meaningful change. Many see progress in as few as 10-15 sessions, though ongoing support is always available. My focus is on creating a collaborative, empowering process that helps you break free from old patterns and embrace a healthier, more connected life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, where you are the expert in your life and I bring expertise in evidence-based treatments. My background includes working with diverse families in county hospitals, shelters, and community clinics—experiences that echo my own humble beginnings in rural Oregon. These experiences taught me that many challenges are beyond our control, yet change is possible. Grounded in scientific research on trauma and interpersonal dynamics, my work is also enriched by a creative, theater-inspired approach. I tailor interventions to fit your family’s unique context, blending serious, structured work with moments of levity to foster resilience, growth, and connection.
