My Ideal Client

I have experience working with different ethnic groups, specifically with the Spanish speaking community. I provide mental health services to address generational trauma, family relationships and the overlapping symptoms of depression and anxiety.

My Approach to Helping

I provide psychotherapy (via telehealth) to adolescents and young adults in the state of Oregon. As a TF-CBT certified therapist, I provide tools and healthy coping mechanisms; allowing my clients to effectively manage feeling and emotions as they transition through difficult events in their lives.

    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a tool that I regularly utilize to create awareness by using mindfulness practices, metaphors, and creating dialogue to evoke change.

    I have experience on treating symptoms of anxiety. I focus mainly on providing skills that will help my clients manage anticipatory thoughts, identifying triggers and using logic to decrease automatic negative thoughts.

    My experience on treating symptoms of depression is by allowing my clients to practice self-reflection, challenging cognitive distortions, self-defeating thoughts with logic and seeking opportunities for healthy interactions, resulting in healthy cognitive restructuring and cognitive growth.

    I have experience on working with clients who presented symptoms of low self-esteem. I supported my client by creating a space for self-reflection, allowing them to identify triggers of negative automatic thoughts and negative concepts of the self which decrease the thoughts that evoked shame and guilt.

    I work with groups of individuals in a underserved community creating awareness of the long term effects of colonization in a particular group of individuals.
