My Background
I am a board-certified psychiatrist (medical doctor) specializing in community and forensic psychiatry. I received my medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. I completed my residency training in Adult Psychiatry at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, OR. I completed additional training in Forensic Psychiatry at OHSU.
My Approach to Helping
Healing is rarely one-dimensional. I believe in a balanced, holistic approach that goes far beyond quick medication check-ins. In our sessions, we combine thoughtful medication management, patient education, and tailored talk therapy to treat the whole person, not just a set of symptoms.
Drawing from modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic approaches, I help you gently explore thought patterns, process difficult emotions, and build practical strategies for meaningful, lasting change.
