My Ideal Client

Did you get a life changing diagnosis and feel like no one understands what you're going through? Do you have pain from your past that feels like it's holding you in place? Are you struggling with conflicting feelings in a hard situation that feel impossible to sort out? I'm here for you. I help people who are experiencing complicated feelings related to trauma, grief, disability, chronic illness, stress, and fertility issues.

My Approach to Helping

I believe that people can find healing when they are given the space to examine and accept complicated feelings. My focus is on helping people learn how to identify, talk, and feel through their feelings, so that they can continue to thrive long after our work together is finished. I like to keep things casual in my sessions, and meet people where they are. I incorporate aspects of somatic therapy, ACT, and relational cultural theory. I believe that, particularly in healing trauma, it is important to reconnect the mind and the body. I have 5 years combined experience counseling in Utah and Oregon. I have post graduate degree training in Trauma Counseling through University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have experience working with folks with disabilities, including blindness and visual impairment.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that people can find healing when they are given the space to examine and accept complicated feelings. My focus is on helping people learn how to identify, talk, and feel through their feelings, so that they can continue to thrive long after our work together is finished. I like to keep things casual in my sessions, and meet people where they are. Therapy can be intimidating. It can be scary. It can be hard to be vulnerable, especially when maybe life has taught you that vulnerability is weakness. I offer 15 minute consultations for potential clients to get to know me.
