My Ideal Client

You've spent much of your life being the strong one, meeting expectations, and putting others before yourself. I work with adults from diverse backgrounds, with a special interest in people of color and first-generation adults, navigating complex trauma, anxiety, emotional neglect, family dynamics, and questions of identity and belonging. Together, we'll explore how early relationships shaped you, the patterns that helped you survive, and the meaningful work of becoming more fully yourself.

My Background and Approach

Growing up on the East Coast as the eldest daughter of Indo-Trinidadian immigrant parents, I learned to navigate multiple cultures, identities, and expectations. This third-culture lens has shaped my curiosity about people, the complexities of belonging, and the ways our histories live within us. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), integrating somatic, psychodynamic, and attachment-based approaches. I'm also expanding my training in therapeutic touch with Kathy Kain. I believe insight alone doesn't always lead to change. Our bodies carry patterns of protection and survival that words cannot always reach. Through a collaborative, relational approach, I help clients explore these patterns, deepen their connection with themselves, and create space for new ways of being.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

I believe meaningful change begins when we feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted in the fullness of who we are. Healing doesn't happen in isolation; we're shaped by our relationships, communities, cultures, and the experiences that have brought us here. I'm particularly drawn to working with people navigating questions of identity, belonging, loneliness, and complicated family dynamics. I recognize that healing isn't a linear process, nor does it look the same for everyone. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a relational approach that honors the complexity of being human. My hope is to create a space where you can explore the patterns that have shaped you, deepen your connection with yourself, and honor where you come from while making room for who you want to become.
