My Approach to Helping

I offer a wide range of therapeutic approaches to help you set goals and achieve them. I specialize in Structural Family Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy in addition to regular use of CBT and client centered methods. With your lead, I like to take an active role in session allowing for space to process emotions and tools to use outside of sessions. I'm happy to meet you where you are. I'm excited that you've come this far in researching therapists and I hope to have the privilege to lend my expertise to our professional relationship. Paying for therapy can be difficult and I want to make it accessible to as many as possible.

My Values as a Therapist

I want our time together to be efficient without feeling pressured. I value and ask for feedback on sessions in a way that is meant to help you inform me on what work and what doesn't. I want the skills you learn in session to serve you throughout your life. It's very important to me that you walk away with a positive interaction with therapy services. Taking the steps to reach out for help is hard, I hope that providing a meaningful experience lowers the barrier to ask for help in the future.

    Compassion focused therapy comes from the mindfulness-based approach. Collaborate techniques to encourage compassionate motivation, sympathy, distress tolerance, and sensitivity.

  • Family Therapy External link

    I was fortunate to accumulate licensure hours under a supervisor using Structural Family Therapy issues by identify and addressing the interactions between family members (including couples).
