My Ideal Client

Many of my clients come to me looking for a space where they don’t have to explain or defend their identity... especially within the LGBTQ+ community, where our experiences are too often an afterthought. If you’re navigating trauma, managing a mood disorder, or just trying to find focus in an overwhelming world, I’m here to help. I work with folx who are ready to move past just 'getting by' to build deep self-trust and create a path forward that feels both grounded and sustainable.

My Approach to Helping

My approach to mental health is built on the belief that you are the expert of your own life, informed by your unique, lived experiences. I’m here as a partner in your health, to provide the tools and clinical expertise to help you navigate it. Rooted in Native Hawaiian values, my practice looks at the whole person rather than just a list of symptoms. This means our work is grounded, compassionate, and focused on long-term balance. Specializing in medication management and LGBTQ+ affirming care, I help clients manage ADHD, depression, and trauma with zero judgment. The benefit to you is a streamlined experience where your clinical needs and your personal values are treated with equal importance. We’ll work together to find the right medication or lifestyle shifts that help you feel more in control and less anxious or unfocused. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling truly heard and equipped with a clear, personalized plan to reclaim your power and sense of peace.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that mental health care is inseparable from social justice. My work is deeply informed by my identity as a Native Hawaiian. I am passionate about decolonizing mental health care, shifting away from purely Western frameworks to embrace more holistic, culturally grounded ways of healing. I am an active advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, collaborating with organizations like Basic Rights Oregon to improve healthcare access and equity for queer adults. My practice is a firm supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement and the principles of body neutrality, recognizing how systemic oppression and societal pressures impact our well-being. To put these values into action, I provide ongoing financial support to the Cascade AIDS Project, the Q Center, 'Aha Pūnana Leo (Hawaiian language immersion), and the ACLU. I believe that by showing up for these causes, I am helping to build the safer, more affirming world my clients deserve.
