My Ideal Client

Do you feel stuck and alone in your relationship? You and your partner may keep having the same arguments with no real resolution. No matter how careful you are, things still escalate. Avoiding conflict feels easier, and before long, you feel more like roommates than lovers. You’ve tried to fix things—books, breathing, fewer words, more words—but nothing helps. You still care and miss the connection you once had. That’s where I come in. I help couples reconnect, turning chaos into calm.

My Background and Approach

I am a certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist with nearly 15 years of experience helping couples and individuals strengthen emotional connection. I help couples identify and change patterns that keep them stuck, disconnected, or reactive. Drawing on my background as a former electrical engineer, I bring a clear, structured approach to understanding emotions, relationships, and lasting change. Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy is a well-researched model for couples. We begin by creating stability through understanding the repetitive patterns that keep you stuck. Couples often get caught in mutually reactive cycles that continually re-trigger each other. In therapy, you will connect with the vulnerable emotions driving these patterns. During sessions, you will talk with me about your experiences, and I will guide you to speak directly with each other. This is often the least favorite part at first, but it is powerful and leads to lasting change.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe we are wired to connect, to be part of a community or “tribe.” We are all emotional beings, capable of learning to express and share our emotions in ways that feel authentic. In therapy, I prioritize emotional safety, compassionate curiosity, acceptance, and accountability. I want clients to feel seen, understood, and challenged, which leads to empowerment. I honor autonomy, knowing every adult is free to make their own choices. My goal is to help couples and individuals develop lasting emotional clarity and deeper connection—with themselves and with each other.
